FPT IS presents Quang Ninh e-government model

FPT IS presented the model for the Quang Ninh e-government project in the 2012 - 2014 period to the Quang Ninh provincial People's Committee on December 16, in preparation to begin Phase 1 of the project.
Leaders from relevant provincial departments and agencies attended the meeting, which was chaired by Vice-Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Dang Huy Hau.
At the meeting, FPT IS gave a preliminary report to the Vice Chairman on the results of the survey about the actual situation of IT application in Quang Ninh. The FPT IS survey showed that Quang Ninh has adopted many software applications at State administrative agencies, but they are not well synchronized. FPT IS recommended that the province should invest in building a larger scale data center; completing the WAN network; upgrading terminal equipment; and building and deploying a concentrated e-government system, as well as training, raising awareness, and disseminating information about the system and establishing a support center.
The FPT IS model for Quang Ninh e-government is expected to be implemented from 2012 to 2014. It includes six components: technology, professional processes, human resources, strategy, organization and policy, focusing on international standard centralized systems.
Following the presentation, FPT IS held a question and answer session with provincial department and sector leaders.
After evaluating the survey results and the e-government model, the provincial Vice Chairman asked the FPT IS project team to coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to thoroughly survey and research every issue and content that needs investment, complete the e-government model, and report to the Quang Ninh People's Committee as soon as possible.
The FPT IS project team is currently creating detailed plans to present to provincial Secretary Pham Minh Chinh in the near future.
